JULY 4 - FRIDAY
Happy July 4th

FIREWORKS VIEWING - Get to the park early to get the best seats to view firework displays from across Broward County. Last year more than 1,100 people scanned the sky from the vantage point of the park’s hill, which is the highest man-made elevation in the county. Viewers get a panoramic view and a lot less traffic. Dependent on weather conditions, Independence Day viewers may be able to see the firework displays from Davie, Pembroke Pines, Miramar, Sunrise, and possibly Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood. Most of these shows are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. No fireworks or sparklers, grilling, or horses will be permitted in the park. Viewers are encouraged to bring beach chairs and blankets. Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis. Food and nonalcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. For all ages from 6 to 11 p.m. $5 per vehicle. JULY 10 - THURSDAY
FAMILY SPLASH NIGHT AT TROPICAL SPLASH
- $4.50/person (ages 12 months and under are free). For all ages from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. NOTE: Patrons are not permitted to bring food and coolers (no glass containers/alcohol/grills allowed) into the aquatics facilities. JULY 19 - SATURDAY
FIRST ANNUAL ALL BROWARD COMMUNITY HEALTH AND AWARENESS DAY

JULY 25 - FRIDAY
SPLASH LUAU
- Fee includes two hours of Splash Adventure swim time, a hot dog or a slice of pizza, and choice of chips and drink. For all ages from 6 to 10 p.m. Fee: $6/person. JULY 26 - SATURDAY
MOMMIES IN MOTION FITNESS CLASS
- Fitness classes for mothers and their children. The classes involve interval training, cross-training, light weights, and cardiovascular training led by Kimberly Tanner, a certified fitness instructor. Participants should bring a towel, a water bottle, and their children (optional). Strollers and picnic tables will be used for strength training. $7/person per class or $60/per person for 10 classes. For all ages from 9 to 10 a.m. The park’s regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect. For more information, call T.Y. BREASTFEEDING BASICS CLASS - Intended to teach expectant mothers the basics of breastfeeding, this class includes everything you need to know about proper positioning techniques, infant feeding behaviors and how to manage common problems. Classes are $10 per couple and are held the first and third Wednesday of every month from 6 -8 p.m. The location for this class is at the Cancer Center Conference Room. DELRAY DELIVERS - Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, Inc. and Delray Beach Parks and Recreation are partnering up to help support our servicemen and women who are stationed outside our country. Drop boxes have been placed in community centers around Delray Beach to help collect needed items, and will be shipped to soldiers in Iraq, Kuwait, and other areas of the world. Items include baby/facial/body wipes, AA batteries, crackers, easy cheese, instant coffee, Slim Jims, cereal bars, US Post Office phone cards, and more. BREASTFEEDING SUPPORT GROUP - Our breastfeeding support group allows you and other mothers to grow together by sharing insightful ideas on early mothering. Our board certified lactation consultants are also available to provide additional assistance and resources. Sessions are free and offered the third Thursday of every month from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. The location for this class is at the Sibling Room, 3 South Tower.

STEPFAMILY ASSOCIATION OF AMERICA, INC. - Broward County Chapter meets the second Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. at Child & Family Psychologists, 7520 N.W. 5th Street, Suite 204, Plantation.
